Aaliyah’s Digital Wall is a space for genuine thoughts, reflections, and encouragement. Everyone who posts here is expected to help keep it that way.

Keep It Respectful

• No harassment, hate speech, bullying, or personal attacks.
• No threats, intimidation, or calls to violence.
• Challenge ideas thoughtfully — never attack the person behind them.

Protect Privacy

• Do not share anyone’s personal information without their explicit consent.
• Do not post private messages, credentials, or confidential records.

Keep It Lawful and Safe

• No illegal content of any kind.
• Absolute zero tolerance for sexual content involving minors.
• No scams, phishing, spam campaigns, or automated bot activity.
• Posts about personal struggles are welcome. Content that encourages, instructs, or glorifies self-harm is not.

Posting Notes

• Keep notes in the spirit of the wall — thoughtful, kind, and authentic.
• Anonymous posting is allowed, but anonymity does not remove your responsibility for what you share.

Moderation and Enforcement

Our team may review, reject, or remove any content at any time. Accounts that repeatedly or seriously violate these guidelines may be suspended or permanently blocked. Automated tools may assist moderation decisions.

Reporting

If you see something harmful or inappropriate, please report it to mvajid@gmail.com with a description and link to the content.

Acceptance

By using Aaliyah’s Digital Wall, you agree to these Terms along with our Privacy Policy and Code of Conduct.

User Content and Responsibility

You are responsible for everything you post, including anonymous posts. You must only share content you have the right to share and must comply with all applicable local laws and these platform rules. Anonymity does not remove legal responsibility.

Account Security

Sign-in is handled entirely through Google. Your Google account credentials are managed by Google. You are responsible for account security and should notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised activity.

Prohibited Content

• Harassment, hate speech, threats, or incitement of violence
• Doxxing or sharing private information without consent
• Illegal content, including sexual content involving minors
• Spam, scams, impersonation, or platform abuse
• Attempts to bypass content filters or rate-limit protections

Moderation

We may review, reject, remove, or permanently delete content at our discretion. Accounts may be suspended or blocked for violating terms.

Content Licence

You keep ownership of your content. By posting, you grant Aaliyah’s Digital Wall a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, and distribute your content solely as needed to operate the service.

Note Persistence

Notes are intended to be permanent. You can delete your own note if you created them using a signed-in account. Once you delete a note, it will be removed from the wall permanently. We may still occasionally remove content for moderation, safety and legal reasons.

Changes

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the service after updated changes are posted means you accept the revised Terms.

What We Collect

Anonymous post data

• Note content: Name (or “Anonymous” if left blank), message text, background colour, resonance count, and timestamp.
• If you attach a photo, the image data is included with the note.

Account and profile data (signed-in users)

• Google account email, display name, and profile photo URL — provided by Google Sign-In.
• Your preferred colour theme and last sign-in timestamp.

Interaction data

• Resonances (hearts) you give to notes, linked to your account or a guest ID stored in your browser.

Cookies and Local Storage

• A guest ID is stored in your browser’s localStorage to remember your hearts across sessions without requiring sign-in.
• Firebase Authentication uses session data to keep signed-in users authenticated.

Why We Process Data

• To display and operate the wall and all its features.
• To prevent abuse and enforce content moderation.
• To save your preferences and personalise your experience.

Data Retention

Notes are intended to remain on the service permanently. You can delete your own note if you created them using a signed-in account. Once you delete a note, it will be removed from the wall permanently.

Third-Party Services

We use Google Firebase for authentication, database storage, and hosting. Data processed through Firebase is subject to Google’s privacy practices.
